On Wednesday, July 1st, the Logan County Beautification Committee awarded First Southern National Bank their first-ever award in the commercial business category.

Beautification Committee President, Keith Batchelor awarded Community President, John Brett Reynolds, with a certificate on behalf of their work and improvements at the intersection of West Fourth and Bethel Street in Russellville.

On top of demolishing old apartments and building a new branch location, First Southern has renovated landscapes, added new paving, curbing, shrubbery, and benches, all with a goal to reflect the architecture and local history of Russellville.

“Our Russellville Branch is so honored to be awarded by the Logan County Beautification Committee in the commercial business category,” says John Brett Reynolds, Community President. “We will continue to work to bring beauty and charm to our city.”

The mission of the Logan County Beautification Committee is to enhance the visual beauty of Logan County, preserve its historical values, and to promote the common good of the community to residents and businesses.

The Logan County Beautification Committee hopes to award qualifying residential or commercial properties at least once a month.
