What is First Southern Online Banking? |
First Southern Online Banking is a secure remote account access service provided to our customers worldwide through the Internet. Customers enrolling for this service can view their accounts, make transfers between their checking and savings accounts, make payments to First Southern loans, view your Purchase Rewards summary and perform other miscellaneous customer services.
If you're a FinanceWorks user, you can view your spending trends right from the First Southern Online Banking home page.
How much does First Southern Online Banking cost? |
There is no charge for using our Online Banking service.
How do I sign up for Online Banking? |
Click here to enroll. First Southern will notify you by e-mail when your Online Banking privileges have been activated, usually within one to two business days. Upon receipt of this e-mail you can immediately login to the service.
Is the Internet safe and secure for online account access? Can other Internet users see my account information? |
When you are using First Southern Online Banking, you are using a secure site. First Southern has taken steps to ensure that accessing your accounts via the Internet is safe and secure, by implementing state-of-the-art security standards.
Additionally, we allow you to select a password of your choosing that will be easy for you to remember and keep "secret". This password is used to authenticate you each time you log on to the First Southern Online Banking system, prior to allowing you to begin viewing your information. The confidentiality of your accounts is maintained as the data is passed from our host computer to your personal computer in an encrypted format, where your browser then decodes the information for you to view. This prevents the data from being intercepted and/or viewed by an unauthorized third party.
First Southern has also installed secure firewalls to ensure that no unauthorized access is permitted. Additionally, each user session is set up for a specific period of time; when it is exceeded the session times out. If your session times out, you will need to login again. This reduces the window of opportunity for an unauthorized user to access your account information if you walk away from your computer without logging off. Every effort has been made to ensure that this system is as secure as possible.

Any personal computer with the ability to access the Internet can be used to access Online Banking.
What kind of browser do I need to have? |
It is strongly recommended that you have a personal computer with a secure browser which supports 128-bit, U.S. security level, encryption. Because First Southern Online Banking is accessed through the Internet you do not need any special software.
Can I use First Southern Online Banking with a Mac? |
Yes, you can use a Mac for accessing First Southern Online Banking, provided you have a compatible browser. However, keep in mind that the size of your monitor, how you set your computer preferences and the type of browser that you use may affect how information is displayed on your screen.
Can I use First Southern Online Banking overseas? |
Yes. Because First Southern Online Banking is an Internet-based account access service, it is available worldwide. However, you must have a compatible browser.
When will my First Southern Online Banking transactions post to my account(s)? |
Transfers made through First Southern Online Banking will be immediately reflected on your Transfer Confirmation Page. Transfers will also be reflected in the Available Balances on the Account Summary and Account Detail screens at the time that you submit the transfer request; however, they will not actually be posted until the end of the business day.
First Southern National Bank's online business day ends at 6 p.m. Eastern Time, 5 p.m. Central Time, Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.
Payments made to loans prior to the end of our online business day will be posted on the same day they are made.
What if I forget my password? |
If you forget your First Southern Online Banking password, you may select the Lost Password link from the First Southern Online Banking login page. You will be prompted to enter your user ID and answer three pre-selected validation questions. After your identity has been validated, you will be able to create a new password.
